Saved places and pickup logs for dog walkers
Location features in dog walking software should reduce phone handling in the field without turning into live client tracking.
The field problem
Getting a phone out at every pickup is annoying when you are managing leads, keys, gates and excited dogs. Every feature that demands a tap in the field has to pay for that tap. Most don't.
The useful version
Saved pickup points, one-tap directions and optional arrival logs are useful. Live maps for clients are a different product promise and can create uncomfortable expectations: a walker who is five minutes late should not be watchable in real time.
A sensible path
Start with saved places, then add phone GPS for saving locations, then consider native auto-arrival detection later. Each step earns the next; none of them requires becoming a tracking product.
