Why BearWalk is not a dog walking marketplace
BearWalk is business-management software for walkers who already own the client relationship, not a marketplace taking commission from every walk.
The relationship belongs to the walker
Independent dog walkers win through trust, reliability and local relationships. BearWalk should make that relationship easier to manage, not insert itself between walker and client. That principle shapes everything: the portal carries the walker's brand, the clients are the walker's data, and nothing about the product tries to make clients “ours”.
Flat subscription beats commission
Commission makes sense when a platform brings demand. If the walker found and serves the client, charging a percentage of every walk is the wrong incentive: the software earns more every time you work harder, while doing nothing extra. A flat subscription keeps the deal honest: BearWalk earns the same whether you walk ten dogs or a hundred, so the only way we grow is by being worth keeping.
What BearWalk replaces
Calendars, spreadsheets, manual invoices, chasing messages and policy awkwardness. Not the walker.
